I offer my Sacred Sound with the intention of creating a joyful, loving, healing experience that liberates the spirit and enlivens the body.
My work as a multifaceted healer for over forty years, integrates an eclectic array of techniques, including sound healing, touch, energy work and vibrational healing. In 1979, I embarked upon the study of therapeutic massage along with other complementary healing modalities such as, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Energy work, Guided Visualization/Relaxation Techniques, Aromatherapy, Color and Light Therapy, Muscle Balancing, Polarity Therapy, and Spiritual counseling. I received my CMT from the Integrative Therapy School (ITS in Sacramento).
As my private practice grew, I continued to learn and create new ways to assist my clients and myself in healing and transforming body, mind, and spirit. This journey has deeply enriched my own life, and the lives of those around me who gather to play, learn, deeply consider, celebrate endings, and birth new beginnings.
In 1983, my interest in the healing qualities of vibration lead me to experiment with sound. I began to intuitively incorporate sound into my healing sessions, using voice, Tibetan/Himalayan and Crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, bells, drums, rattles, and tuning forks as a way to deepen and integrate the physical and emotional healing effects for my clients. I then traveled to study Sound Therapy and Sound Healing with Tom Kenyon, Jonathan Goldman, and Fabien Maman, leaders in this new, yet ancient form of healing.
I have been a guest speaker, teacher, and facilitator at a variety of institutions, centers and venues, including Sacramento State University, Sacramento City College, Mercy Hospital, Mount Madonna Retreat Center (Monterey), Presence of Heart Center (San Francisco), and Sunlight of the Spirit (Sacramento).
